Foundry Desk

Type that holds the grid.

A typesetting desk built on the Swiss modular lattice. Every column, rule and caption snaps to one 8px baseline, from phone to proofing wall.

Order is the only decoration.

Raster keeps what carries load: a visible column grid, hairline rules, oversized grotesk headlines, and one vermilion mark where each heading begins. Nothing floats and every edge lands on a line.

One ink, one graphite, one register red.

Modular columns

Twelve columns with uneven spans. A wide lead block carries the argument and narrow rails hold the metadata.

The origin rule

Each section starts on a short vermilion segment at the left edge. It is the only place the red appears besides the main action.

Editorial tables

Figures read like a journal: flush-left labels, tabular numerals, one rule under the header.

Three numbers hold the page.
