rules
Compose screens as a context map: persistent navigation rail, document-centered reading column, and slim marginal analytics column that reflows below content on small screens.
Maintain compact but breathable density with 8px increments, 16px control height rhythm, and no oversized hero statistics.
Let typography and placement do the work: serif headings for section identity, Inter for body operations, mono numerals for evidence and metrics, with color reserved for state.
layout
mobile <= 640px stacks rail, document, and signals; tablet <= 960px collapses the signal column beneath the document; desktop >= 1200px restores three columns.
Desktop uses 220px context rail, minmax(520px, 1fr) document column, and 280px marginal column with 24px gutters.
Whitespace behaves like ma: broad gutters separate conceptual zones while rows inside zones stay compact and aligned to an 8px baseline.
guidance
- Use indigo for links, focus, selected navigation, and active evidence lines with accessible contrast.
- Keep persimmon rare and stateful: warnings, blockers, or urgent marginal stamps only.
- Write real document labels, source names, confidence levels, and metric captions so the interface feels operational.
- Prefer hairline dividers, measured spacing, and tonal layers over decorative imagery.
- Do not add literal woven, stencil, sakura, wave, or paper-fiber patterns.
- Do not convert every card into a dashboard tile with big colorful numbers.
- Do not use heavy drop shadows, pill overload, or saturated backgrounds that break the quiet reading surface.
- Do not hide context; keep source trails and marginal signals adjacent to the text they explain.

# AYA Context Weave ## Philosophy AYA Context Weave is a light, text-first workspace language for gathering many strands of knowledge into calm, inspectable product surfaces without resorting to literal textile or stencil ornament. ### Values - Layered context remains readable before it becomes decorative. - Negative space is used as an active map between source, synthesis, and decision. - Metrics and alerts stay marginal, quiet, and adjacent to the document flow. - Japanese craft references appear as structure, restraint, and rhythm rather than motifs. ### Anti-Values - No literal woven textures, stencil florals, kimono patterns, or faux paper backgrounds. - No saturated dashboard chrome, noisy gradient panels, or oversized metric theatrics. - No generic white SaaS cards floating with heavy shadows. ### Visual Character - Use a pale warm paper canvas with slightly offset tonal surface layers separated by 1px ink-tinted rules. - Place a narrow left context rail and right marginal signal column around a wider text document center using CSS grid. - Apply indigo focus and selection states as thin inset lines, underlines, and small side tabs rather than filled blocks. - Set repeated micro-metrics in compact mono rows with generous line-height and hairline dividers for quiet rhythm. - Use sparse persimmon alert marks as tiny stamps or border ticks confined to high-priority marginal states. ## Tokens ### Borders - **Accent Width**: 3px - **Character**: Ink-hairline borders in warm gray, with selective inset indigo focus rules and sparse persimmon alert ticks. - **Default Width**: 1px - **Style**: solid ### Colors | Name | Value | |------|-------| | accent | `#C85B3B` | | background | `#F7F4EC` | | border | `#D9D2C2` | | error | `#A94438` | | info | `#405D8E` | | muted | `#76746B` | | primary | `#304B7A` | | secondary | `#6E746F` | | success | `#51745B` | | surface | `#FEFCF6` | | text | `#24231F` | | warning | `#C87830` | ### Motion - **Duration**: 160ms - **Easing**: cubic-bezier(0.2, 0, 0.1, 1) - **Philosophy**: Motion is a short settling of layers: focus lines draw in, marginal notes reveal by opacity, and layout never bounces. ### Radii - **Full**: 9999px - **Lg**: 10px - **Md**: 6px - **None**: 0 - **Sm**: 2px ### Shadows - **Lg**: 0 24px 60px rgba(36, 35, 31, 0.10) - **Md**: 0 14px 28px rgba(48, 75, 122, 0.07) - **Sm**: 0 1px 0 rgba(36, 35, 31, 0.05) ### Spacing - **Base**: 8px - **Scale**: [4,8,12,16,24,32,48,64] ### Surfaces - **Bg Pattern**: None; # AYA Context Weave
## Overview
AYA Context Weave is a light, text-first workspace language for gathering many strands of knowledge into calm, inspectable product surfaces without resorting to literal textile or stencil ornament.
### Values
- Layered context remains readable before it becomes decorative.
- Negative space is used as an active map between source, synthesis, and decision.
- Metrics and alerts stay marginal, quiet, and adjacent to the document flow.
- Japanese craft references appear as structure, restraint, and rhythm rather than motifs.
### Anti-Values
- No literal woven textures, stencil florals, kimono patterns, or faux paper backgrounds.
- No saturated dashboard chrome, noisy gradient panels, or oversized metric theatrics.
- No generic white SaaS cards floating with heavy shadows.
### Visual Character
- Use a pale warm paper canvas with slightly offset tonal surface layers separated by 1px ink-tinted rules.
- Place a narrow left context rail and right marginal signal column around a wider text document center using CSS grid.
- Apply indigo focus and selection states as thin inset lines, underlines, and small side tabs rather than filled blocks.
- Set repeated micro-metrics in compact mono rows with generous line-height and hairline dividers for quiet rhythm.
- Use sparse persimmon alert marks as tiny stamps or border ticks confined to high-priority marginal states.
## Colors
Use the YAML color tokens as the normative palette. The prose below names the roles agents should preserve when generating UI.

## Components
### Composition
Compose screens as a context map: persistent navigation rail, document-centered reading column, and slim marginal analytics column that reflows below content on small screens.
### Density
Maintain compact but breathable density with 8px increments, 16px control height rhythm, and no oversized hero statistics.
### Hierarchy
Let typography and placement do the work: serif headings for section identity, Inter for body operations, mono numerals for evidence and metrics, with color reserved for state.
### Signature Patterns
- Context-weave grid: CSS grid names left rail, main document, and margin signals so related context remains spatially adjacent.
- Stencil cut focus: active items use an inset indigo line plus clipped corner notch instead of a filled selected background.
- Marginal signal ticks: alerts appear as tiny persimmon border segments and mono labels attached to the right edge of panels.
- Tonal paper stack: nested surfaces shift by one warm tone and share hairline dividers, creating layer depth without shadows.
- Inline evidence measures: metrics live inside sentence-like rows with mono numerals, leader lines, and compact confidence badges.
## shadcn/ui Usage
When the target app uses shadcn/ui, copy DESIGN.md with shadcn instead of the plain DESIGN.md. It contains the same Katagami design-language source plus the shadcn/ui primitives, imports, theme variables, component recipes, and preview-shot guidance.
DESIGN.md with shadcn: `/language/en-019ee04c-3142-73e2-8938-5e68b2732086/DESIGN.with-shadcn.md`.
The shadcn page also exposes optional machine-readable files for automation, but the human-facing handoff is DESIGN.md with shadcn.
Install recommended primitives with `npx shadcn@latest add button card input textarea select dialog sheet tabs badge separator checkbox switch slider tooltip dropdown-menu table`.
Use these primitives in shadcn apps:
- button
- card
- input
- textarea
- select
- dialog
- sheet
- tabs
- badge
- separator
- checkbox
- switch
- slider
- tooltip
- dropdown-menu
- table
Implementation rule for agents: import shadcn primitives from `@/components/ui/*`, apply the generated CSS variables first, then compose the language-specific recipes from the companion MD. Katagami remains the source of truth; shadcn names are the implementation surface.
## Do's and Don'ts
- Do Use indigo for links, focus, selected navigation, and active evidence lines with accessible contrast.
- Do Keep persimmon rare and stateful: warnings, blockers, or urgent marginal stamps only.
- Do Write real document labels, source names, confidence levels, and metric captions so the interface feels operational.
- Do Prefer hairline dividers, measured spacing, and tonal layers over decorative imagery.
- Don't Do not add literal woven, stencil, sakura, wave, or paper-fiber patterns.
- Don't Do not convert every card into a dashboard tile with big colorful numbers.
- Don't Do not use heavy drop shadows, pill overload, or saturated backgrounds that break the quiet reading surface.
- Don't Do not hide context; keep source trails and marginal signals adjacent to the text they explain.

Slug: `aya-context-weave`
## Intent
AYA Context Weave is a light, text-first workspace language for gathering many strands of knowledge into calm, inspectable product surfaces without resorting to literal textile or stencil ornament.
## Required primitives
- button
- card
- input
- textarea
- select
- dialog
- sheet
- tabs
- badge
- separator
- checkbox
- switch
- slider
- tooltip
- dropdown-menu
- table
Install with `npx shadcn@latest add button card input textarea select dialog sheet tabs badge separator checkbox switch slider tooltip dropdown-menu table`.

## Visual character to preserve
- Use a pale warm paper canvas with slightly offset tonal surface layers separated by 1px ink-tinted rules.
- Place a narrow left context rail and right marginal signal column around a wider text document center using CSS grid.
- Apply indigo focus and selection states as thin inset lines, underlines, and small side tabs rather than filled blocks.
- Set repeated micro-metrics in compact mono rows with generous line-height and hairline dividers for quiet rhythm.
- Use sparse persimmon alert marks as tiny stamps or border ticks confined to high-priority marginal states.
## ShadSync visual profile

}
## Signature component recipes
### Button
Use `Button` for primary, secondary, outline, and ghost actions. Primary actions must expose the language's strongest contrast pair, while secondary and ghost actions should preserve the surface treatment instead of falling back to default neutral SaaS styling.
### Card
Use `Card`, `CardHeader`, `CardContent`, `CardFooter`, and `CardAction` as the main composition frame. Cards should demonstrate the language's surface, border, hierarchy, and density rules rather than appearing as generic rounded rectangles.
### Input and Textarea
Use `Input` and `Textarea` with visible focus rings, field labels, validation states, and the language's rhythm. Forms should show real product content, not placeholder-only controls.
### Select, Tabs, and Table
Use `Select`, `Tabs`, and `Table` to prove navigation, filtering, and dense data states. The table should show row rhythm, separators, hover/focus states, and an empty or status state when the language calls for it.
### Dialog and Sheet
Use `Dialog` for centered decisions and `Sheet` for contextual editing. Both should inherit the language's spacing, border, overlay, and motion rules.
## Preview shots
- `application-shell`: dashboard or workspace shell with navigation, cards, forms, and state badges.
- `detail-editor`: focused editing flow using input, textarea, select, switch/checkbox, dialog or sheet, and action buttons.
- `data-operations`: table-heavy operational view with tabs, dropdown menu affordances, badges, and destructive/empty states.
- Each preview shot must include a renderable `scene` payload with concrete headline, description, actions, and rows/fields/stats for the UI preview.
## Implementation contract
- Start from local `ui/src/components/ui` shadcn-style primitives; do not create a second component system.
- Apply `/katagami/shadcn/aya-context-weave/registry-theme.json` variables, then use these recipes for composition and state design.
- Preserve Katagami token names as source metadata; shadcn semantic names are only the export surface.
- Do: Use indigo for links, focus, selected navigation, and active evidence lines with accessible contrast.; Keep persimmon rare and stateful: warnings, blockers, or urgent marginal stamps only.; Write real document labels, source names, confidence levels, and metric captions so the interface feels operational.; Prefer hairline dividers, measured spacing, and tonal layers over decorative imagery.
- Do not: Do not add literal woven, stencil, sakura, wave, or paper-fiber patterns.; Do not convert every card into a dashboard tile with big colorful numbers.; Do not use heavy drop shadows, pill overload, or saturated backgrounds that break the quiet reading surface.; Do not hide context; keep source trails and marginal signals adjacent to the text they explain.
## Copy-paste component example
This generated starter proves the import shape. Production Katagami agents should replace it with a language-specific product composition.
